The Afterschool Coaching Book Study is for program supervisors who support staff working directly with students in afterschool settings. Participants learn about the coaching process and how to improve support for staff in classroom management, behavior management, student engagement, and lesson delivery. This 6-week study is held each Spring & Fall, including monthly internal coach training calls and fidelity checklists to support staff in their program.
Sessions will include weekly reading assignments with discussions to build the collective knowledge of all participants based on a specific coaching topic. Participants must be committed to actively engaging in sessions. A syllabus with assignments will be sent after registration. A live online chat will be held for 1 hour each week. A headset with a microphone and webcam is required.
If you attend all sessions, Growing Futures credit is available.
