What We Do

Afterschool and summer programming can add 1,080 hours of academic enrichment to a child's year, equivelant to the number of hours in 144 school days. The ND Afterschool Network supports, connects, and advocates for high-quality afterschool programming for all students PreK-12 across our state.

We support afterschool programs with:

The ND Afterschool Network is launching the first statewide Afterschool Database!

The database will help families, schools, communities and elected officials locate afterschool and summer learning programs and identify assets & gaps in out-of-school time programming throughout North Dakota. The afterschool field in ND is segmented due to funding streams, gaps in policy, and lack of awarenss of the immense benefits of high-quality out-of-school time programs to students PreK-12 and their families.

Add your program to the map!

Out-of-School Time programs serve youth PreK-12 before school, after school, summers, weekends, and during school breaks. Programs include organized, regularly scheduled activities in a structured, supervised envirnoment and include an educational or enrichment activity. They can take place in schools, school-age childcare centers, community-based organizations, universities, libraries, museums, camps, and other locations.
